An Extension to set a configurable limit on how many items can be added to the shopping cart at any one time.
This is at an item level. You can add multiple instances of the same product.
The total number of unique Products must not exceed X.
Provides an Admin view in Sales to set the value and a warning message. It can also be enabled or disabled.
It is an Observer. So will update on any cart change,
It supports Multi Stores.
