Veridial provides 2 factor authentication for both Customer & Admin logins.

Veridial adds additional fields on the Customer and Admin user records for a Landline number and a Mobile number, which isn't included in the standard Magento installation, these are also accessible outside of the Veridial Model and can be used elsewhere - Very useful!

In most cases, on existing Magento installations, where these fields wouldn't have been filled in Veridial will default to using the Customer and/or Admin users Email address to send the PIN code to.

In addition to the normal authentication process typically requiring a username and password (a single factor), the user has to provide a further physical proof to confirm their identity. The combination of two different methods is known as two or multi factor Authentication (2FA for short).

VerIDial provides two factor authentication by utilising mobile phones and landlines. A one-time PIN is sent to a phone to be entered into the website being protected. This proves the person authenticating is in possession of the phone the PIN was sent to, at the time the PIN was sent.

Please note: This extension will only work with Magento 1.8.0.0 and above.
